This series consists of correspondence, rules, guidelines, publications and other material that document the involvement of the Alabama Dept. of Archives and History with the National History Day program. The department coordinated the state event by distributing information on the themes, rules, and guidelines and securing judges for the projects. Leona Stemple was the program liaison until budget restraints forced the department to curtail its participation in 1992.
